The
approach adopted by VMware for the virtualisation consists in inserting
a fine layer of software directly on the computer hardware or on the
operating system host. This software layer creates virtual machines and
contains a monitor of virtual machine or "hypervisor" which assigns the
material resources in a dynamic and transparent way. This allows several
operational systems to work simultaneously without knowing it.
